Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to the Childress High School Government Blog. In this blog we will incorporate daily warm-up activities and class discussions about current topics involving our world as we live it. We will utilize this Blog daily to set the days' agenda, so be sure to log in when you enter the class. This is an ever evolving assignment and project, so please, if you come across a great site or have an idea that will enrich our learning environment SPEAK UP!!!!! Our 1st Amendment right allows us the opportunity to speak freely to an extent, use that right when given a chance. Remember, even though we do live in a democracy, class rights given to you are on a Absolute Monarchy basis, with ME being the dictator!!! But, as throughout history, things always change and I expect that through education, we as a class will also evolve through different stages of leadership and Governmental ideologies and hopefully we will soon be a Limited Democracy with limited rights granted to all!

• Last but ***Most Important for you*** is the blog archive. This is where I will check to see if you have responded to the assignment daily. I will know when you respond, so please don't let an easy grade slip away.

I hope everyone will walk away in May with an understanding of the important role you play in protecting our rights and privileges granted to us through our constitution, which great men and women have fought and died for. Enjoy you final year, it will never be this easy again............
